Retro-Fit for Concrete Wall

Chase Model CM-1 Quick-Opening In-Swing Manways are often installed in older, existing concrete or concrete and tile walls to provide quick access in accordance with OSHA confined space regulations. A core-drilled hole (or other method of creating an opening in the wall) is prepared to fit the manway sleeve and our standard 1/4 inch x 2 inch grout ring. The exposed rebar is welded to the grout ring and the space around the sleeve is packed with SET 45 (4000 lb strength) or equal concrete/grout mix. Manway component parts are then easily reassembled to complete the installation.

Converting Existing Blind Flange Insert

Chase Model CM-3 Quick-Opening Conversion Manway bolts up to any existing bolted cover flange insert or large nozzle presently installed in a concrete wall, replacing the heavy blind flange cover and providing our original Quick-Opening access design for the remaining life of the chest.
